Join MTRP Trail Guide and resident Astronomer, George Varga, at the far end of the Kumeyaay Lake Campground's Day Use Parking Lot, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A telescope will be available to view the nighttime sky! In consideration of others, no lanterns or white-light flashlights are permitted near the telescope. * Note: Cancelled if raining or cloudy. The Moon will be two days past being Full and will rise at about 8:00 pm. Many Open Clusters in Auriga, Gemini and Canis Major will be up. The Orion Nebula will be to the west of the Meridian, the imaginary great circle that intersects with the North and South Celestial Poles and passes through the observer's position. Jupiter is up high, close to the Beehive Cluster.
