Join MTRP Trail Guide and resident Astronomer, George Varga, at the far end of the Kumeyaay Lake Campground's Day Use Parking Lot, from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. A telescope will be available to view the nighttime sky! In consideration of others, no lanterns or white-light flashlights are permitted near the telescope. * Note: Cancelled if raining or cloudy. The Moon will be one day short of being new, consequently only light pollution will degrade viewing. Saturn will be rising in the Southeast while Jupiter and Mars will be setting in the West. The Whirlpool Galaxy (M51), Sunflower Galaxy (M63), Black-Eye Galaxy (M64) and Sombrero Galaxy (M104) are in good position for viewing.
