Join MTRP Trail Guide and resident Astronomer, George Varga, at the far end of the Kumeyaay Lake Campground's Day Use Parking Lot, from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. A telescope will be available to view the nighttime sky! In consideration of others, no lanterns or white-light flashlights are permitted near the telescope. * Note: Cancelled if raining or cloudy. The Moon will be a crescent, only three days past New Moon and to the West. Saturn will be almost overhead. Scorpius and Sagittarius will present a number of Messier Objects to view, among them Globular Cluster M4, Open Clusters M6 and M7, and the Lagoon Nebula (M8). In Lyra the Ring Nebula (M57) will be quite a sight, although dim.
