Join MTRP Trail Guide and resident Astronomer, George Varga, at the far end of the Kumeyaay Lake Campground's Day Use Parking Lot, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. A telescope will be available to view the nighttime sky! In consideration of others, no lanterns or white-light flashlights are permitted near the telescope. * Note: Cancelled if raining or cloudy. There will be no moonlight the entire time of the star party. Saturn will be to the Southwest and may be obscured by the Fortuna Range. The double star Albireo, one of the finest binaries in our Galaxy, will be well positioned for viewing as will some neat objects, like the Ring Nebula (M57) in Lyra, Globular Cluster M22 in Sagittarius, and Globular Cluster M15 in Pegasus and the Dubbell Nebula (M27) in Vulpecula.
