Free Art Reception for "Through Our Eyes" featuring Vicky DeLong and Michelle Gonzalez

"Through Our Eyes”  Featuring the artwork of Vicky DeLong – Ceramic Art and Michelle Gonzalez – Acrylic and Watercolor paintings. This exhibit will be on display in the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center Art Gallery March 28 – April 24, 2015. The public is cordially invited to a reception in honor of the artists on Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
About the Artists:
Vicky DeLong ~ Ceramic Art Vicky began working with clay about thirty years ago. She maintains an interest in architecture including the extraordinary style of Spanish architect Antonio Gaudí. His abstract and intricate forms are ones she incorporates into her work of a hand built-slab technique. To these forms she applies various patterns and textures and creates free form objects. Specifically these forms become vessels, baskets, wall and table vases. Vicky’s work is created in her studio at the Spanish Village Art Center, Balboa Park, Studio 16B. She is member of Spanish Village Art Center, the San Diego Museum of Art Artist’s Guild, Southwestern Artists Association in Spanish Village Art Center and Clay Artists of San Diego.You may view more of her art on her website – www.zhibit.org/vickydelong
Michelle Gonzalez ~ Acrylic and Watercolor Michelle was born in Toronto, Canada. She has lived most of her life in California. Michelle studied both Fine Art and Commercial Art. Her distinct style using vibrant colors in her art is her trademark. She is an award winning plein air watercolor painter. You may see her art at Spanish Village Art Center, Balboa Park, Studio 6.
