This popular event features free guided nature walks, talks and programs throughout the park, including live animals and programs for children. The San Diego Natural History Museum and Scholastic Publishing’s Ms. Frizzle™ and The Magic Schoolbus© will present a program for children in the amphitheater at the Visitor and Interpretive Center.

There will also be pony rides (9 to 1230), a climbing wall, crafts for children, and Discovery Stations at the East Fortuna Staging Area (Mast & SR52).

A free shuttle service will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to transport visitors from the Jackson Drive Parking Lot to the MTRP Visitor Center and to East Fortuna Staging Area.

Explore Mission Trails Day is presented annually by the City of San Diego Park and Recreation Department, Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation, and San Diego City Councilmember Scott Sherman.
