3:00 PM - Sunday, July 31, 2016
Diane Mandel brings a new musical sound and experience to the MTRP Visitor Center Theater. Diane is a nationally known Sounds True recording artist, educator and author. "My concert is a transformational sound immersion with ancient Tibetan bowls, gongs, asteroid tuning forks and percussion to soothe, inspire and awaken the body, mind and spirit. The concert is designed to relieve stress, enlighten the mind and bring people into a transcendent state of being.
These instruments (Tibetan Singing Bowls) have a rich history and a unique sound. This program has been presented nationally for over 10 years in a variety of venues including the Museum of Making Music, the Chopra Center in Carlsbad, CA,the San Diego Cancer Center, Rancho la Puerta, California State College, and hundreds of yoga centers. As the only state certified Tibetan bowl practitioner and educator in California, I currently offer sound sessions for healing to incarcerated veterans with PTSD and have worked in the medical setting with cancer patients."
