This Sunday, October 15th, at 3:00 pm, The Queen Calafia Ensemble will perform Renaissance music at the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center. Named for the mythical Amazon Queen of California (created by the writer Rodriguez de Montalvo in 1500), this group will present new arrangements of music written in the 111 years that began with the journeys of Columbus, and ended with the death of Elizabeth I. The program will feature new arrangements of the music of Luys de Narvaez, Adrien Le Roy, Thomas Tallis, and others.

The MTRP Foundation presents free concerts on scheduled Sundays. All concerts begin at 3:00 p.m. and are held in the Visitor Center Theater (limited seating of 93 capacity). Schedule is subject to change. Any donations are greatly appreciated for the performers who donate their time.
