Art Exhbition - "Amend the Reality" " until March 3- Reception Feb 4, 1 to 4 pm
The Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation (MTRP) is pleased to present "Amend the Reality", an exhibition featuring the artwork local award-winning artist Gail Ackley. This exhibit will be on display in the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center Art Gallery through Friday, March 3. Here is a link to a preview video of the exhibition. About the Artist: Ms. Ackley earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and a Master’s degree at Point Loma Nazarene University. Her work life included teaching, a principal ship, and work with educational technology firms. She has long been interested in local shore birds, especially the elegant pelicans and herons. Her paintings also present elements of landscapes, both representational and abstract, as well as pieces drawn from family photos that communicate universal themes about relationships and specific time-frames.Each genre represents a different way of approaching a topic, a different challenge, an opportunity to “Amend the Reality” of the world.

The MTRP Visitor and Interpretive Center is located at One Father Junipero Serra Trail, San Diego, CA 92119, and it is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free.
The MTRP Foundation was formed in 1988 as a 501(c) (3) non-profit public benefit corporation.
Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation offers opportunities for visual artists to display
their work. Currently, these displays are limited to two-dimensional works. Displays of
artwork are rotated every four weeks throughout the year.
Regardless of the media, certain
criteria must be followed as outlined by the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation.
Information and applications for exhibit consideration is available at the Visitor Center
from May 1st through June 30th for the next exhibition year.
