The Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation is pleased to present, "Soaring: the bird photography of Scott Streit," a solo exhibition by renowned nature photographer Scott Streit. The exhibition and will be on display in the Mission Trails Regional Park Gallery from February 28, 2010 through March 26, 2010.

Award-winning photographer Scott Streit has been photographing the birds of San Diego for the past fourteen years. Scott's photographs have been published in books, magazines, newspapers, brochures, and on the internet. Additionally, he has contributed images to such prestigious organizations as the Audubon Society of California, the National Wildlife Federation, the US Forest Service and Mission Trails Regional Park.

Of his photography Mr. Streit has said, Birds are my favorite natural subject. They are beautiful and amazing creatures. Some spend their entire life at sea, only coming ashore to breed. Others have colorful and elaborate plumage. To me, bird photography provides a unique set of challenges and rewards. Trying to capture a small, fast moving bird, or sitting still for hours while waiting for your subject to make a brief appearance, can be challenging and frustrating, but very rewarding when you walk away with the photo that you envisioned.

The MTRP Visitor and Interpretive Center is located at One Father Junipero Serra Trail, San Diego, CA 92119, and it is open daily from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Admission is free.
