Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation offers opportunities for visual artists to display
their work. Currently, these displays are limited to two-dimensional works. Displays of
artwork are rotated every four weeks throughout the year. Regardless of the media, certain
criteria must be followed as outlined by the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation.
Information and applications for exhibit consideration is available at the Visitor Center
from May 1st through June 30th for the next exhibition year. For additional information,

Magical Moments of Nature

The Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation is pleased to present Magical Moments of Nature, an exhibition of fine-art photography by award-winning photographers Diane Johnson and Barbara Swanson. This exciting show will be on view in the Mission Trails Regional Park Gallery from January 30 through February 26, 2010. The art reception for this exhibit will be held February 14, 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
Diane Johnson is an award-winning and published photographer who loves to document the behavior of wildlife and the magical moments when light play on landscape. Using the tool of photography, she tries to connect people to nature and hopes that viewers will support the protection of wildlife and habitat.
Barbara Swanson is a biochemist by vocation who has been photographing nature for many years. Her favorite subjects include wildlife and flowers. Barbara enjoys both local and distant travel to capture her award-winning photographs that have been published in calendars and gardening magazines. The MTRP Visitor and Interpretive Center is located at One Father Junipero Serra Trail, San Diego, CA 92119, and it is open daily from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Admission is free.
