RANGER GUS AND FRIENDS
Come in and meet Ranger Gus and his friends Punk the Skunk, Renata Ramona Raccoon, and Edison Wise Wings. They are talking plush animals with messages for children of all ages.

WONDERFUL PUPPETS
There is a delightful selection of Folkmanis puppets in the Gift Shop; all representing various wildlife that can be found in Mission Trails. We have Coyotes and bobcats and rattlesnakes and even a scary red tarantula! There are mini-puppets and larger hand puppets available as well. Find the one that is perfect for your child. Prices range from $3.50 to $49.95.

CHILDREN'S BOOKS
We have just received a large selection of children's books with nature and early culture as a themes; many, "Way Out West Lives a Coyote Named Frank" and " Interview With a Tarantula" for example, coordinate with our selection of puppets. There are also books that teach a valuable lesson about how to enjoy nature: "Curious George Goes Camping" and "Cooking on a Stick". Another very popular title is "My Ancestor's Village" in which children can spend a day with Dove, a young Kumeyaay girl who lived in San Diego County long ago.
